The Hensingham bells are fitted with Hastings stays used by the Taylor's foundry between 1895 and 1960.

The Hensingham tower has a restored Ellacombe Apparatus meaning the bells can be rung with out the need for ringers.

In England church bells are rung by swinging them through nearly a full circle, this gives them their unique tones as the ringing bell is moving backwards and forwards.
